Zwiesel Glas tasked Mondi with creating packaging that would not only protect their delicate glassware but also elevate the customer’s first impression. The outer layer is made of a special uncoated containerboard paper with 190g fresh fibre with offset printing.
As a mark of quality, it features the embossed Zwiesel Glas logo placed against silver foil stripes. This tactile element is vital for the glass manufacturer, ensuring their customers don’t just see the quality in the packaging, but feel it too. Their product experience begins the moment they touch the box, with its velvet-like texture and silky, matte finish.
Inside, the attention to detail continues. Using flexo printing, the internal layers of the box feature elegant white fonts on coloured paper, adding a sophisticated, personal touch to the experience. It took several iterations to perfect this packaging, with a special focus on finding the right paper and embossing techniques to align with Zwiesel Glas’s premium brand.
