Multiple awards in the Americas demonstrate Smurfit Kappas continued excellence in innovation

Smurfit Kappa, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, has won several awards in the Americas for innovation, expertise in supply chain efficiency and design excellence.
Strategic Supplier Innovation Award

The company was honoured with the 2023 Strategic Supplier Innovation Award from the Chamberlain Group (CG), a recognition of its efforts to improve supply chain efficiency through groundbreaking technologies and sustainable packaging solutions. Smurfit Kappa’s investment in cutting-edge technology, along with its 1000 designers worldwide, enables the creation of customised packaging solutions that showcase customers’ products in the best way alongside advancing their sustainability achievements.

Five Design Awards

Smurfit Kappa also had success at the 42nd Convention of the Corrugated Association of The Caribbean, Central and South America (ACCCSA), where it distinguished itself among its peers in the Design and Booth Competition by securing five prestigious awards. One of the award-winning designs was for the eco-conscious fashion brand Guadalupe Design which needed a sustainable eCommerce solution that would convey the beauty of its products. The design team in Colombia produced a vibrant pack with stand-out print and innovative locking mechanism which can then be repurposed into a storage box.

Laurent Sellier, CEO of Smurfit Kappa Americas, said: “We are proud to have a talented and hardworking design team that consistently produces creative and sustainable packaging solutions that align with the needs of our customers and evolving market trends. Awards like these provide a great opportunity to tap into our creative spirit and push the boundaries of what packaging can do. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to be a strategic partner for our customers in the Americas as we shape the future of supply chain excellence.”
