Opening of BTG Center of Excellence in Hyderabad, India

BTG is proud to announce today the opening of its new Indian Center of Excellence located in Hyderabad, India. The facility is a state-of-the-art technical support centre and digital hub that will greatly enhance BTG capability to serve the Indian and regional markets.

BTG certified technical specialists operating out of this Center of Excellence will support BTG devices sold and installed at BTG customers locally and regionally.

In addition, a laboratory with a variety of analytical capabilities, including charge and morphology is also established.

Research & Development engineers based at the Center of Excellence will be involved in product design and development, working closely with the BTG factory in Sweden. To supporting the rapid expansion of digitalization projects, both within India and Asia Pacific, a team of process control and data analytics specialists will also be hosted. All elements of the BTG portfolio, including automation, consumables, service, advanced controls and data analytics,  will be supported from the Center of Excellence.

BTG has been represented in India since the early 1980’s, with establishment of a direct presence in 2008. With the accelerating growth of the Indian market, capabilities have expanded over the years, culminating in the investment decision to set up a Center of Excellence in Hyderabad.

The facility  is located in HITEC City, Hyderabad, in the heart of a rapidly developing technology and IT hub, and represents the BTG and Voith commitment to the Indian Pulp and Paper industries.
