Retail India News: CHUK Expands Footprint Across Continents with Launch in Seven Markets

CHUK, the flagship brand of Pakka, has unveiled an ambitious global expansion strategy, marking its entry into seven prominent international markets. The company is now supplying its eco-friendly packaging solutions to regions including New York, Houston, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Singapore, UAE, Adelaide, and Perth in Australia, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Alongside CHUK’s international expansion, Pakka is advancing its operations in Guatemala with the development of a $250 million food packaging solutions plant. This initiative supports local economies while preserving indigenous traditions, underscoring the company’s commitment to responsible global growth. Pakka’s dedication is further reflected in its successful CSR programs near its Ayodhya headquarters.

Launched in 2017 in Ayodhya, CHUK has grown from modest beginnings into a pioneering force in compostable packaging solutions. Driven by a vision of creating a cleaner planet, the brand converts agricultural residue, specifically sugarcane bagasse, into high-quality compostable tableware and food delivery products. This innovative approach has significantly reduced reliance on single-use, non-renewable materials.

Today, CHUK is a trusted partner for leading Indian food brands and Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) such as Haldiram’s, Taco Bell, and Chai Point. These businesses rely on CHUK’s sustainable packaging for their daily operations. Following its remarkable success in India, where the biodegradable tableware market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.0 percent from 2024 to 2030, CHUK is poised to replicate its regenerative model on the global stage.

Jagdeep Hira, India Business Head, Pakka said, “This international expansion represents a proud moment for India, as we take our compostable food packaging solutions from Ayodhya to the global stage. There is a huge demand for eco-friendly food packaging options in the US, UAE, Canada and other countries. This expansion will help us meet the needs of environmentally conscious consumers.  Our research indicates that the HoReCa sector and retail establishments across the globe are willing to accept innovative, sustainable packaging solutions that don’t compromise on quality or functionality. CHUK’s products are uniquely positioned to meet this demand.”

To enhance its reach in the U.S. market, CHUK has launched a dedicated website, chukusa.com, tailored for American consumers. The platform highlights CHUK’s range of compostable tableware with visuals featuring popular U.S. and global dishes, aligning with local preferences. Local teams and distribution networks have also been established to ensure seamless delivery and market adaptation.

As CHUK expands its presence across continents, it continues to champion sustainability, offering innovative solutions that prioritize the environment without compromising on quality. With its roots in Ayodhya and its eyes set on the world, CHUK is setting a benchmark for responsible and sustainable growth in the global packaging industry.
